Holiday Coach Tour Itinerary
Travel to the Belgian GP
Day 1 - Thursday:
We depart London Victoria Coach Station making our way to Dover for our late morning Ferry crossing. The 90minute journey will allow you plenty of time for lunch and any shopping or currency changes.
We continue through France, making a Belgium 'Chocolate Factory' stop before continuing onto Valkenburg where we arrive early evening.
Our F1 Resort Hotel is in the Picturesque 'Holiday Resort' Town of Valkenburg. The Town offers something far all, a great range of restaurants and bars, tourist attractions include the Castle, Church, Theme Park, Grotto and Casino.
Our Hotel is Family run and offers a warm welcome. It has Tennis Courts and Gardens with Restaurant, Dance Lounge offering nightly entertainment, Pub Bar, Terrace Bar and several Lounges. All rooms have private en suite facilities with TV.
The restaurant is buffet style - we include the 4 nights Half Board Dinner upgrade.
The Francorchamps Circuit is set in the Ardennes Forest approximately 50 minutes.
Day 2 - Friday:
After a late breakfast we depart for the circuit arriving in time to see all the F1 action.
After the last F1 practise session we return to Valkenburg giving you time to enjoy the local town. Alternatively the day is free for you to relax and explore.
Day 3 - Saturday:
We depart early for the circuit arriving in time to see all the F1 action and Qualifying, returning after the GP 2 Race. Or the day is free for you to relax and enjoy.
Day 4 - Sunday:
We depart early for the circuit, arriving in time to see Final Qualifying, support races, Drivers parade and the Grand Prix.
Day 5 - Monday: . . . . Valkenburg to Trier
After a late breakfast we check out the Hotel. We make the short journey to Historique Monschau with its romantic half-timbered houses. The town harbors a rich mosaic of art, culture and museums in a traditional setting.
We depart after lunch taking a slow journey through the Eifel region to the Mosel. We descend the steep slopes to Piesport where you have plenty of time to enjoy this 'Wine' Town. We arrive Trier late afternoon where you stay for the next two nights.
The Hotel is situated on the banks of the river and is family run with good facilities including restaurant & panoramic terraced bar. All the rooms have private en suite facilities. You do not need to book half board as the Hotel and local restaurants offers such good value.
Day 6 - Tuesday :
The day is free for you to relax and enjoy. There is so much to see and explore.
Trier is the oldest city in Germany and has been declared a "UNESCO Cultural Heritage Landmark". It has a fine Fourth Century Cathedral, it is also the birth place of Karl Marx.
Onwards to the Italian GP
Day 7 - Wednesday: Germany - Swiss Alp's - Italian Lakes
After a late breakfast we depart Trier to Lecco. We journey through Germany to the Swiss Border Town of Basel (Bale). As we travel through Switzerland you see the fabulous mountain scenery and lakes.
We make a late lunch stop at Aldorf in the Alp's. We climb the Gothard Pass stopping to wonder at the views. We make a lengthy stop at the top so you can relax and enjoy the mountain air.
We continue through the Alp's and crossing into Italy near Como, making this a great journey to enjoy. We arrive at our F1 resort Hotel late afternoon.
The Hotel is family run situated on the Lake edge of Garlate (Como). It has an excellent restaurant and bar. All the rooms have air conditioning, TV, minibar with private ensuite facilities.
There are several local restaurants nearby or you can enjoy the evenings in Lecco which is a few minutes away. We offer a Shuttle Service into the center of Lecco each evening.
Day 8 - Thursday: Excursion : Milan Center and Monza Circuit Pit Lane Walkabout
The day is free for you to relax and enjoy. We offer you our Milan Center Coach transfer. You have plenty of time to explore this exciting city and enjoy the shopping, sightseeing and lunch.
We depart early afternoon to Monza Circuit where you can enjoy the afternoon Pit Lane and Circuit Walkabout (race ticket required). We depart the Circuit returning direct to your Hotel.
Monza Circuit is set in Monza Park, our journey time is approximately 35 minutes.
Day 9 - Friday:
We depart for the circuit arriving in time to see all the F1 track action. Departing late afternoon, you have time to relax or explore Lecco before returning to the Hotel.
Alternatively the day is free for you to relax and enjoy.
We Offer a Free Excursion of Lake Como. We spend the morning in Varenna giving you time to explore this Lakeside Village. Why not have a Cappuchino, Gelato or Cake ? You may wish to cross the Lake on the Ferry to Bellagio (you can even continue by Ferry onto Lecco).
We continue onto Lecco giving you plenty of time to enjoy lunch ( why not try the local wine and pasta ? ). The afternoon is free in Lecco, to relax by the Lake or enjoy the shops. We return to our Hotel early evening arriving in plenty of time for you to refresh before dinner.
Day 10 - Saturday:
We depart early for the circuit for all the F1 action and Qualifying, returning after the GP 2 Race. Or the day is free for you to relax and enjoy. Why not take the bus to Como or the train to Milan.
Day 11 - Sunday:
We depart early for the circuit, arriving in time to see Final Qualifying, support races, Drivers parade and the Grand Prix.
Day 12 - Monday:
We make an early departure retracing our outward journey. We make a late lunch stop at Mulhouse giving you time to Visit the 'World Famous Schlumpf' Motor Museum - alternatively you can enjoy time in the center of Mulhouse.
We continue onto Chaumont for our en route stop to sample the wines and food of the region for the last time (3 course set menu Dinner included).
Day 13 - Tuesday:
A prompt start arriving at Calais for our early afternoon return sailing. If time allows we will visit a Hypermarket for that last minute shopping. Our arrival in Dover is approx. 16.00 we arrive back in London Victoria approx. 18.30.
