The race circuit was founded as Österreichring and hosted the Formula One Austrian Grand Prix from 1970 until 1989. Then rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring, it hosted the Austrian GP again from 1997 to 2003.
Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz purchased the circuit, now called the Red Bull Ring.

General Tour Itinerary - EXAMPLE

Day 1 - Wednesday Arrival Vienna or Graz Airport
Vienna Airport : use the train to Graz, if you arrive Graz Airport then transfer as below - private transfers can also be arranged.
Arrive Wednesday / Thursday / Friday - transfers are at your expense. Take the train to Graz, then the local bus to Semriach, which terminates at our hotel, or a taxi.
After check-in the remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy. Your travel team and hotel reception are on hand to assist with any excursions.

Day 2 - Thursday Circuit Excursion - Pit Lane Walkabout
Thursday 'Option' for the afternoon Pit Lane Walkabout ; places are limited - see joining options below.
Meet Bruck Mur Train Station with the UK Coach Tour Group, depart 13:00.
Option A ; For those who arrived on Wednesday you will need to take the local bus to Graz Banhof [ Train Station ] and then take the onto Bruck Mur Station.
Option B ; Arrive Vienna on Thursday morning, take the Train to Bruck Mur Station.
The circuit is set in the eye catching Styria Mountains and was one of Formula One's fastest circuits.
Semriach Hotel, located 25 km north of Graz. The mild climate of Semriach, at an altitude between 707-1445m, makes the vast high valley a place where people can relieve stress and at the same time find new strength.
You can also visit the Lurgrotte, to see the world's largest free hanging stalactite and Austria's largest cave.
Half Board Dinner : we suggest you take the excellent value half board dinner option. Please advise which nights you require ( Upgrade recommended ).
The village, bars and restaurants are within a short uphill walk of the hotel.

Friday ; Practice 1 13:30 - 14:30 | Practice 2 17:00 - 18:00 | Saturday ; Practice 3 12:30 - 13:30 | Qualifying 16:00 - 17:00 | Sunday ; Race 15:00
Day 3 - Friday Circuit Transfers
After breakfast we depart to the circuit for the track action, support session and F1. Alternatively the day is free for you to relax and enjoy.
F1 First session 14:00 - 15:00 | Support Race practice | F1 Second session 17:00 - 18:00.
We depart the circuit after practice 2 returning direct to the Hotel.
Graz Tourist time for those wanting to explore Graz simply take the local bus from outside the hotel.
Day 4 - Saturday Circuit Transfers
After breakfast we depart to the circuit for the days track action.
F1 13:00 - 14:00 Third practice session then 16:00 - 17:00 Qualifying.
For the fans of F2 we stay to see the Race. After the Race we make a prompt departure returning direct to the Hotel.
Day 5 - Sunday Circuit Transfers
After breakfast we depart to the circuit, to see the support races, Drivers parade and the Grand Prix.
F2 Second Race | Porsche Supercup | F1 Drivers Parade | Formula One GP Start 15:00.
After the race we make a slow departure returning direct to the Hotel.
Day 6 - Monday UK Travel Team and Coach depart
For those returning to Vienna by train, or departing from Graz Airport check out is by 10:30.
You can take the local Bus direct from the hotel to Graz Station / Airport. Private transfers or taxi can be arranged please enquire.
