CIRCUIT
The Imola circuit in Italy was made notorious by the events of 1994, when Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger were killed in separate crashes during a single weekend.After the terrible events of 1994, the track was heavily revised and made considerably slower. Both the Tamburello and Villeneuve corners where Senna and Ratzenberger were killed were replaced by chicanes. The Acque Minerali bend was also reprofiled.
F1 continued to visit the track until the mid-noughties. The Variante Alta chicane was reworked and tightened for the 2006 race, but this was also the final running of the San Marino Grand Prix.
After F1 left the old Imola pit building was demolished and a new start/finish complex built. This allowed for the removal of the Variante Bassa chicane, restoring some of Imola's lost high-speed nature.

General Tour Itinerary - EXAMPLE

Day 1 - Wednesday / Thursday Arrive Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport
Your UK Travel Team arrive Rimini Hotel Thursday with the UK Coach Tour Group.
Airport Transfers ; take the Airport Bus / Coach Transfer or the Train to Rimini. Then is a short taxi hop or local bus to the hotel.
Our 4* Rimini Hotel is on the beach with swimming pool. Explore Miramare di Rimini this scenic resort.
For those wishing to join us for our Thursday Maranello excursion, you will take the train to Modena and stay at our BW central hotel.

After a relaxed breakfast you checkout and join us at the Enzo Ferrari Museum, Modena. Its where it all began !.
We continue onto Maranello, to visit ; the Museum / Ferrari Shop / Cavallino's / Montana's restaurant , see history on the walls / get views of the Fiorina Test Track and Ferrari Wind Tunnel - we stop for photos . Check out the Memorabilia Shops and enjoy lunch in the square or enjoy lunch in Cavallino's, opposite Ferrari Factory, don't forget to get a picture.

Late afternoon we depart our Rimini tour hotel close to the beach.
CIRCUIT TRANSFERS
Imola Circuit is just over 40 minutes away in normal traffic.We set you down just a few minutes walk from turn 1.
F1 Start Times therefore the tour transfer times will be adjusted [ local time]
Friday ; Practice 1 13:30 - 14:30 | Practice 2 17:00 - 18:00 | Saturday ; Practice 3 12:30 - 13:30 | Qualifying 16:00 - 17:00 | Sunday ; Race 15:00
Day 3 - Friday Circuit Transfers
After breakfast we depart to the circuit for the track action, support session and F1.
F1 First session 14:00 - 15:00 | Support Race practice | F1 Second session 17:00 - 18:00.
We depart the circuit after practice 2 returning direct to the Hotel.
Alternatively the day is free for you to relax and enjoy.
Day 4 - Saturday Circuit Transfers
After breakfast we depart to the circuit for the days track action.
F1 13:00 - 14:00 Third practice session then 16:00 - 17:00 Qualifying.
For the fans of F2 we stay to see the Race. After the Race we make a prompt departure returning direct to the Hotel.
Day 5 - Sunday Circuit Transfers
After breakfast we depart to the circuit, to see the support races, Drivers parade and the Grand Prix.
F2 Second Race | Porsche Supercup | F1 Drivers Parade | Formula One GP Start 15:00.
After the race we make a slow departure returning direct to the Hotel.
Day 6 - Monday UK Travel Team and Coach depart
Hotel check out is by 10:30. We wish you a safe onward journey. Take the Airport Bus / Coach Transfer or local train to the Airport - payable locally.
